What are healthy ways to process anger?

I have a lot of anger that I don't know what to do with. I either explode and say things I regret or I bottle it up and it eats at me. What are healthy ways to actually process anger without hurting yourself or others?

Physical exercise is one of the most effective anger outlets. Even a brisk walk can reduce cortisol. Writing about your anger without censoring yourself also helps process it.

Try naming the emotion precisely. 'I'm angry' is broad. 'I feel disrespected and powerless' is specific. Specificity helps your brain process it faster.
