Is it okay to be content with a small social life?

I have one or two close friends, I see my family occasionally, and I am genuinely content with that. People constantly tell me I need to be more social and put myself out there more. But I honestly don't feel like I am missing anything. Is a small social life okay?

Absolutely. The research on social connection and wellbeing is about quality not quantity. One or two deep meaningful relationships is protective and nourishing. There is nothing wrong with a small intentional social life.

The key distinction is whether your social life is small by choice or by avoidance. If you are happy and not isolating out of fear or depression then you have found what works for you.
