How do you deal with jealousy in a friendship?

My best friend has been very successful lately, getting a great job, a relationship, and buying a house. I am genuinely happy for her but there is also a part of me that feels envious and even resentful sometimes. I feel like a terrible friend for feeling this way.

Jealousy in friendship is incredibly common and does not make you a bad friend. It becomes a problem only if it drives your behavior toward them. Feeling jealous and acting with love anyway is actually a sign of good character.

Use the jealousy as a compass. It's pointing at something you want for yourself. Channel that energy into pursuing your own goals rather than comparing your timeline to hers.
