How do you deal with in-laws who constantly interfere in your marriage?

My mother-in-law calls my husband daily, has opinions about how we raise our kids, and shows up without warning. My husband doesn't see the problem because it's his family. I feel like a stranger in my own marriage. How do you handle intrusive in-laws?

Your husband needs to be the one to address his family. It cannot come from you without creating resentment. Have a calm private conversation with him about specific behaviors that bother you and what you need him to say to his mother.

This is fundamentally a marriage problem, not an in-law problem. If your husband doesn't prioritize your home and marriage over his family of origin that needs to be addressed directly between you two first.
