Why do some people remain attractive as they age while others seem to decline quickly?

I have noticed that some people seem to age very gracefully and maintain their attractiveness well into their 50s and 60s while others seem to decline much faster. Is this purely genetics or are there lifestyle factors that make a significant difference?

Both genetics and lifestyle play significant roles. Sleep, stress levels, sun exposure, smoking, alcohol, and diet all have measurable effects on how quickly the skin and body age. But genetics set the ceiling.

Confidence and vitality are also major components of attractiveness that have nothing to do with genetics. People who remain engaged, curious, and active tend to be perceived as attractive regardless of their physical changes.
