What is the difference between attraction and a genuine connection?

I have dated people I was very physically attracted to but felt nothing deeper with them. And I have met people I wasn't immediately attracted to but felt an incredible connection with. What is the actual difference between physical attraction and a real connection?

Physical attraction is instant and fades. Connection is built over time through shared vulnerability, humor, and understanding. The best relationships have both but connection is what makes love last.
