Should I get back together with my ex if they come back?

My ex broke up with me 4 months ago and now they are reaching out wanting to get back together. Part of me wants to say yes immediately because I still love them. But another part is scared it will just end the same way. How do I make this decision?

Ask one question: what has actually changed? If the answer is nothing, the relationship will likely end the same way. People can change but it requires time, self-awareness, and usually some kind of work on themselves.
