How do you support your own mental health during a major life transition?

I am going through a major life change, a job loss, a move, and a relationship ending all at once. Everything feels uncertain and my mental health is suffering. What are the most important things to do for yourself when everything is changing at the same time?

In chaos, protect your basics obsessively. Sleep, food, some physical movement, and at least one person you can talk to honestly. These are not glamorous but they maintain the floor that everything else needs to be built on.

Reduce decisions wherever possible. Multiple major changes simultaneously depletes decision-making capacity. Simplify every area of your life that is not actively in crisis to preserve cognitive and emotional resources for what actually needs them.
