How do you deal with imposter syndrome at work?

I recently got promoted to a senior role and every day I feel like I am about to be exposed as someone who doesn't know what they are doing. I watch my colleagues and feel like they are so much more competent than me. Is this imposter syndrome and how do I deal with it?

Imposter syndrome is almost universal among high achievers. The fact that you worry about being competent is itself evidence of competence. People who are genuinely incompetent usually don't have enough awareness to worry about it.

Keep a running document of your wins and positive feedback. When the imposter feeling hits, read it. Your brain will lie to you about your capabilities. Have evidence ready to counter it.
