Is it okay to take a break in a relationship or does it mean it is over?
My partner and I have been arguing a lot and they suggested taking a break. I don't know what this means. Does a break usually lead to a breakup? Should I agree to it?

A break can go either way. The important thing is to define the terms clearly: how long, are you exclusive, what's the goal of the break.

In my experience, breaks usually lead to breakups. If the relationship needs a break this early it might not be the right fit.
